Record is a leading currency management firm, with £44.0 billion ($57.3 billion) of assets under management (as at 31st March 2019) for pension funds, foundations and other institutional clients worldwide.
Our focus is on developing a deep understanding of the risk and reward opportunities in currency markets, in order to offer clients the most appropriate solutions to their needs. Record’s services include Bespoke Currency Hedging, Currency for Return and additional currency solutions and consulting services.
Our objective is to design and implement intelligent solutions to meet our clients’ bespoke currency needs.
Record Currency Management Limited is one of the world’s largest and longest standing currency managers with over 35 years’ experience in delivering tailored and unconflicted currency solutions for clients. Our clients are largely institutions, including pension funds, charities, foundations, endowments, and family offices, as well as other fund managers and corporate entities. Our clients benefit from our experience, and from the continuity and consistency with which we apply that experience.
Record was established in 1983 by Neil Record, who had previously worked at the Bank of England, and continues as our Chairman today. The business grew largely around hedging for both corporate and institutional clients, with mandates including the world’s first stand-alone currency hedge in 1985. Since 2009 we have sought to offer a greater variety of products to benefit our clients, and launched our flagship currency for return product, Currency Multi-Strategy, in 2012.
We are headquartered in Windsor, in the United Kingdom, with offices in Zurich and New York. We have always been an independent currency specialist, and have always focused on developing a deep understanding of the risk and reward opportunities in currency markets, so as to offer our clients the most appropriate solutions to their currency and overall investment needs.
Record Currency Management Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Record plc, which is listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange since our IPO in 2007.
Our core values define who we are, how we work and the way in which we serve our clients. We take pride in providing a bespoke level of service, aimed at understanding the specific objectives of each of our clients.
We are continually monitoring the impact of the work we do for our clients, developing a disciplined, scientific understanding of the opportunities and processes our clients seek to exploit. Consequently, we look to hire the best people, leverage our talent and ensure everything we do aims to better the services we provide.
